Summary
In the aftermath of an Algerian hostage rescue operation at the Tigantourine natural gas processing facility outside Ain Amenas, a large number of hostages remains unaccounted for. The situation remains very ambiguous as Algerian forces continue to search for the hostages, but it is clear that the kidnapping and the subsequent operation have opened the Algerian government to significant criticism from foreign powers.
