Summary

After a two-year crackdown by the Russians, it looks as though the Chechen militancy has been fractured. It became too dangerous for the militants to operate in Chechnya, so they tried operating in neighboring republics such as Dagestan and Ingushetia, but this also failed. Therefore, the militants who have not been captured or killed by the Russians are plying their trade on the global jihadist market.
