The Czech Republic said July 14 that shipments of Russian oil to the country have been nearly halved, with the decrease starting the same day that Prague and Washington signed an agreement on the deployment of a radar that is part of the United States' European ballistic missile defense system. Russia is also planning on cutting oil shipments to Poland, which is in the final stages of negotiations with Washington on its part of the missile defense system.
