Essential Geopolitics: Biden, Tech and Antitrust

RANE

In this episode of the Essential Geopolitics podcast from Stratfor, a RANE company, Emily Donahue speaks with Senior Global Analyst Matthew Bey. In the wake of the attacks on the U.S. Capitol building, U.S. President Donald Trump has been banned either temporarily or indefinitely from several social media sites. Meanwhile, Parler, a popular social media platform for right-wing groups and Trump supporters, was blocked from Google, Apple and Amazon's app stores. Although Democrats have supported these moves, the bans have also raised first amendment concerns, as well as concerns about the power that large U.S. tech firms have consolidated.
