Germany: Order Out of Chaos in Berlin?

Summary
Six weeks after German general elections, the country still lacks a government, and the likelihood of that changing in the immediate future is slim. Yet there are some very bright rays of hope. Recent meltdowns in both the German right and left, instead of paving the road to chaos, are instead providing an opportunity for a new generation of leaders to step forward. Combined with some tentative government reforms that will drastically reduce the power of the German laender in favor of the national government, the next government might just enjoy a — dare we say — German level of stability.
