Israel, Gaza: The Danger of Reprisal Attacks Abroad

Police reported that an incendiary device was thrown at a synagogue in Paris on Jan. 11. This type of attack against Jews or Jewish interests has become common in Western Europe since Israel launched Operation Cast Lead in Gaza on Dec. 27, 2008. As the operation continues, the likelihood for more attacks remains. And looking at the targets so far, attacks are not limited to purely Jewish interests.
