China's latest economic data shows a slow and uneven recovery from its COVID-19 lockdown due to lagging domestic consumption and investment and falling demand for exports. The outlook is for continued slow growth this year of no more than 1 percent and possibly even a decline in GDP, plus delays to China's long-term goal of rebalancing its economy.
