Kevin Yan is a research analyst with expertise in East Asia and a particular focus on China, Taiwan, the Koreas and Myanmar. He studies the macroeconomic conditions of the region, including monetary policies, fiscal policies, financial markets and international trade. His past projects include Chinese interior investments and China's coal industry.
Prior to joining Stratfor, Mr. Yan was a research assistant at Roubini Global Economics, focusing on Chinese and East Asian macroeconomics. He holds a master’s degree in international political economy from New York University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and international affairs from Boston University. Mr. Yan is fluent in the Cantonese dialect and has a basic comprehension of Mandarin and French.
