Kevin B. Witherspoon

Kevin B. Witherspoon is a professor and the chairman of the Department of History and Philosophy at Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. Witherspoon was named distinguished professor at Lander University in 2014. His book, Before the Eyes of the World: Mexico and the 1968 Olympics won the 2009 North American Society of Sports Historians Annual Book Award. His current research is focused on the U.S.-Soviet sports rivalry during the Cold War.
