Georgia: Prime Minister Resigns, Ruling Party Nominates Interior Minister as Successor

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze resigned from his post on Sept. 2, Reuters reported. The ruling Georgian Dream party announced Sept. 3 that it has nominated Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia to replace Bakhtadze and that the Georgian parliament could vote to approve the new candidate by the end of the week....
