Greece: Riot Police, Protesters Clash In Athens

Riot police and anti-fascist demonstrators clashed Sept. 18 in Athens, AP reported. The demonstration was held near the site where an anti-fascist activist was fatally stabbed, allegedly by a member of the far-right Golden Dawn party. Police used stun grenades and tear gas to disperse the protesters, who attempted to storm the police station, according to local media. The Golden Dawn party has been associated with political violence.
