Iran: Authorities Watching For Signs Of 'Color Revolution'

Iranian authorities have vowed to crack down if a "color revolution" appears to be in the works ahead of the country's presidential elections, The Financial Times reported June 10. Hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets in Iran to voice their support for their preferred candidates. The supporters of Mir Hossein Mosavi, a moderate candidate, have been wearing green. Head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' political department Yadollah Abbasi said that some political analysts see the use of a particular color in an election for the first time as a sign of a color revolution plot.
