Iran: Tehran Will Participate In Talks If Others Stop 'Pointing The Gun,' President Says

Iran will not enter into negotiations over its nuclear program while under pressure, but it will agree to talks if other nations stop "pointing the gun," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, Reuters reported Feb. 10.  Ahmadinejad's statement is a departure from Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's Feb. 7 rejection of the United States' offer of talks, a reflection of the escalating political conflict between the president and the supreme leader.
