Israel: Barak Calls For Private Airing Of Differences With U.S.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Sept. 11 that the United States and Israel should resolve their differences privately. Barak spoke the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu objected to a U.S. rebuff of his request for the establishment of "red lines" regarding the development of Iranian nuclear weapons and that reports emerged that U.S. President Barack Obama will not meet Netanyahu later in September. Rhetoric aside, Israel and the United States remain geopolitically aligned
