Pakistan: Sit-In To End As Islamabad Agrees To Dissolve National Assembly

A sit-in including tens of thousands of people led by Muslim cleric Tahir ul Qadri ended Jan. 17 after the Pakistani government agreed to dissolve the National Assembly by March 16 and set new elections within 90 days of the dissolution, CNN reported. The agreement is called the Islamabad Long March Declaration and comes amid political turmoil between the government's executive and judicial branches.
