Syria: No Proof That Chemical Weapons Were Used Against Rebels, Israel Says

There is no proof or confirmation that chemical weapons have been used against Syrian rebels, Israeli Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon said Dec. 25, Reuters reported. Yaalon said the opposition has an interest in drawing in international military intervention. Activists had claimed Dec. 24 that Syrian regime forces sprayed a poisonous gas in Homs, killing seven. If indeed the regime has begun to make use of its chemical weapons, it would likely guarantee an international response.
