U.S.: Turkish, U.S. Presidents Reject Kurdish Referendum

U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Sept. 21 in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in a highly anticipated meeting between the two leaders, Anadolu Agency reported. The leaders reaffirmed the strategic partnership between the United States and Turkey and agreed to continue cooperating on maintaining regional stability. They also expressed their shared rejection of the Kurdistan Regional Government's independence referendum planned for Sept. 25.
