Venezuela: Chavez Suffering From Respiratory Infection

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez continues to suffer from a severe respiratory infection that has made his breathing difficult, according to a statement released by the Venezuelan government on Jan. 3, Reuters reported. The statement also said that Chavez's condition requires him to comply fully with medical orders. Before undergoing a recent surgery, Chavez announced that Vice President Nicolas Maduro was his preferred successor if he is not able to serve his next term as president....
