Yemen: Saudi Helicopter Strikes Kill Dozens Of Rebels

Airstrikes by Saudi helicopters killed dozens of Houthi rebels and their allies near the Yemen-Saudi Arabia border on Oct. 6, Al Arabiya reported. The strikes, which took place near Yemen's border with the southwestern Saudi province of Jazan, came a day after a Houthi rocket landed in Jazan, injuring one person. Yemen's civil war, which pits the Houthis and fighters loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh against Saudi-led coalition forces supporting embattled President Abd Rabboh Mansour Hadi, has raged for nearly two years. The conflict has caused widespread famine among civilians and allowed extremist groups to grow their operations.
