Zimbabwe: Ruling Party Accuses Army Chief Of Treason

Zimbabwe's ruling party accused Army Gen. Constantino Chiwenga of treason following his threats of a military intervention, BBC News reported Nov. 14. Chiwenga's comments were directed at President Robert Mugabe in response to his removal of Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Nov. 6. On Nov. 14, four armored personnel carriers were seen moving toward Harare.
