Summary
A bomb exploded Oct. 8 in downtown Kabul near the Indian Embassy, killing 17 people and injuring 76 others. The Afghan Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which is the second attack on the Indian Embassy since July 2008. It appears that the Taliban have decided to increase the number of attacks in Kabul in an attempt to convince foreign governments to leave Afghanistan.
