Gertken is the chief strategist in geopolitical strategy and U.S. political strategy at the Canada-based investment research company BCA Research. He oversees the company's coverage of market-relevant policy developments across the world. He has 18 years of experience in the field and appears frequently in global news media. Prior to joining BCA in 2015, Gertken worked as a senior analyst at Stratfor (Strategic Forecasting) and in a range of academic and publishing roles. Gertken earned a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin.
