Bahrain: An Explosion in Manama

At least one explosion was reported in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, late April 26. Given the attacks in Egypt and the audio/video statements from al Qaeda leaders in the last three days, the attack will prompt many to conclude jihadists were responsible, making it the country's first jihadist attack. Disaffected elements of the island nation's Shiite majority, however, could also be making their presence known once more.
