Bangladesh: Mutiny's Implications for Regional Security

Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee wrote to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to offer support in the wake of a mutiny among the Bangladesh Rifles, the Press Trust of India reported March 2. The mutiny has created concerns for India, which has been depending on the Bangladeshi government to strengthen ties with New Delhi and work to improve the security situation along the countries' shared border.
