At a recent security conference in Munich, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov warned NATO that Russia would withdraw from the Cold War-era Conventional Forces in Europe treaty if NATO does not curb plans to expand into Russia's front yard. Ivanov's threat is just one move in what will be a geopolitical chess match between NATO and Russia over NATO's eastward march.
