Summary
The president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has spoken disparagingly of Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with two Russian TV stations. The interviews follow recent criticism by Lukashenko of Russia's inability to stop the secession of Kosovo from Serbia. Despite Lukashenko's attempt to cast himself as the leader of a powerful Russian-Belarusian movement, he will find few takers in Russia for his grand vision.
