Belgium: NATO Considers New Command Structures

Discussions are underway to possibly boost NATO's command structure to provide logical support for rapid troop deployments across the Continent and to protect vital sea-lanes in the Atlantic Ocean. Defense ministers from NATO member states convened Nov. 8 for a two-day meeting in Brussels. North Korea and Afghanistan will figure prominently in discussions, but the most anticipated topic of discussion will be recalibrating NATO's command structure in the wake of Russia's resurgent military capabilities....
