Chad: The Rebel Defeat and Paying Back Sudan

Summary
Chadian forces defeated rebel forces in the country's capital Feb. 4. While the Chadian government has blamed Sudan for the rebellion and threatened an incursion into Sudan, it is unlikely to retaliate directly against Khartoum. Instead, Chad probably will ramp up its support of rebel groups in Sudan's war-torn region of Darfur.
