China, U.K.: Worth the Trade

The British government will not be able to start negotiations until the Brexit transition period begins in March 2019, but it is already preparing for a post-Brexit trade deal with China. British Prime Minister Theresa May, alongside International Trade Secretary Liam Fox and a delegation of 50 British business leaders, is visiting China Jan. 31-Feb. 2. On the first day of the trip, May met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, and on Feb. 1 she will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Throughout May's stay in China, the focus is expected to be on bilateral trade ties....
