'Coalition of the Willing' Continues To Undermine United Nations
Apr 23, 2003 | 23:00 GMT
Summary
Washington built a "coalition of the willing" to sanction and support its war on Iraq in the absence of a U.N. mandate. Though only the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland joined the United States in combat in Iraq, many of the countries in the coalition are stepping forward to provide relief aid and support personnel in postwar Iraq. In the process, they are further marginalizing the United Nations.
