Colombia, Ecuador: Thawing in Relations

The foreign ministers of Colombia and Ecuador will meet Oct. 9 to discuss improving relations between the two countries. The meeting marks a significantly improved bilateral relationship, and will lead to increased cooperation on security issues. Nevertheless, there are challenges to the relationship as their mutual border continues to be insecure.
