Colombia: The Cartels Reorganize

A leading Colombian cartel leader has been killed, Colombian security forces reported Feb. 1. The killing comes as Colombia's drug cartels, under pressure from more powerful Mexican cartels and from Colombian security forces, are undergoing major changes — moving their operations to neighboring countries and making their groups smaller and less vulnerable to security forces.
