Summary

The aftermath of the fall of former President Victor Yanukovich has led not only to a change in government in Ukraine, but also to a significant shift in the fortunes and political influence of Ukraine's top oligarchs. Some of the changes have benefited Kiev, with oligarchs likely to cooperate on some reforms to ensure Ukraine gets access to international funding in the short term. However, newly empowered oligarchs could eventually pose a challenge for the governing coalition.
