Death of a Militant: Boon for Beijing?

Officials in Beijing say that Hasan Mahsum, allegedly a leading Uighur separatist, was killed in Pakistan during an anti-terrorism raid in recent weeks. Mahsun's death in the proximity of al Qaeda forces is useful as China attempts to gain international support for its campaign against ethnic Uighur separatists.
