Denmark assumes the six-month rotating European presidency in January. Its turn at the EU helm is likely the last time that position will hold relevancy. Denmark's history and wealth give it a unique position in Europe, and while it is not a eurozone member, its interests lie in resolving the current eurozone crisis.
