Egypt: A Backdoor Rescue for French Firms?

France has agreed to give Egypt a "gift" of 20,000 tons of wheat in return for Egypt inking several infrastructure contracts with French firms. The deal might be a tit-for-tat attempt by Paris to circumvent European Union regulations and help its troubled economy.
