Now the country is gearing up for a runoff on May 28 between incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu. But with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) having won the National Assembly and the opposition demoralized, it seems an uphill battle for Kilicdaroglu.
