The United Kingdom and the European Union are inching closer to a Brexit agreement. After months of negotiations, the pair reached a technical agreement on the terms of the United Kingdom's departure from the bloc on Nov. 13. The British government has not provided any details beyond confirming the deal's existence, but sources close to the talks have said that the United Kingdom will remain in a temporary customs arrangement with the European Union. For months, the future of the Irish border has been the main obstacle to an agreement, as the majority of other issues such as citizens' rights and London's financial commitments to the bloc had already been decided. To eliminate the need for a hard border in Ireland, special provisions will be made to keep Northern Ireland in alignment with the EU single market....
