  • South Asia/Eurasia: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to visit Turkmenistan.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaPresidential and National Assembly elections in Nigeria (delayed from Feb. 16).

  • Asia-Pacific: Nonbinding referendum on the Japanese island of Okinawa on relocation of the U.S. military base. 
  • Eurasia: Parliamentary elections in Moldova.
  • Europe: Protests against changes in Romania's justice laws to take place in Bucharest.

  • Europe/MENA: EU High Representative Federica Mogherini to visit Lebanon.
