EUROPE
- March 2: The European Parliament will hold committee meetings in Brussels.
- March 2-3: The ministers for trade, industry and research of EU member states will meet as part of the Competitiveness Council in Brussels.
- March 3: French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is expected to meet with his Russian, German and Ukrainian counterparts in Paris to discuss the conflict in Ukraine.
- March 5: The European Parliament will hold more committee meetings in Brussels.
- March 5: The Governing Council of the European Central Bank will meet in Cyprus.
- March 5: The ministers for energy, transport and telecoms of EU member states will meet as part of the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council in Brussels. The meeting will focus on energy.
- March 6: The environment ministers of EU member states will meet in Brussels.
- March 6-7: A peace conference discussing the crisis in Ukraine will take place in Kosice, Slovakia. The list of participants has not been announced yet, but German Foreign Affairs Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann may attend.
FORMER SOVIET UNION
- March 2: Representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the European Union will meet in Brussels to discuss the issue of gas supplies to Ukraine.
- March 3: Gazprom’s board of directors will meet to consider buying a stake in Gazprom Pererabotka.
- March 3: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will travel to Moscow to participate in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of Russia–Belarus Union State.
- March 3: Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev will meet with EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom.
- March 4: Aeroflot’s board of directors will meet to consider subleasing five Boeing 737-800 planes.
- March 5: Steel manufacturer TMK will publish its International Financial Reporting Standards results for 2014.
ASIA-PACIFIC
- March 1-3: U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will travel to Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand to discuss the United States' bilateral relations with those countries.
- March 1-4: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will meet with his Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida, in Tokyo to discuss strengthening Ukraine's ties with Japan.
- March 1-9: South Korean President Park Geun Hye will visit Kuwait from March 1-3, Saudi Arabia from March 3-4, the United Arab Emirates from March 4-6 and Qatar from March 6-8.
- March 2-4: Brunei Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah will pay an official visit to Cambodia.
- March 2-13: Around 10,000 South Korean and 8,600 U.S. troops will take part in the Key Resolve military exercise to improve combined forces operations and the overall combat effectiveness of their militaries.
- March 2-9: U.S. Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Frank Rose will visit Malaysia on March 2, where he will meet with senior officials from the country's ministries of Defense and Foreign affairs in addition to its space agency. On March 3, he will visit Indonesia to hold bilateral discussions on space security and multilateral arms control. On March 4, he will visit Singapore to discuss security issues, including space security and multilateral arms control. Finally, Rose will travel to India on March 5 for bilateral talks with senior Indian officials and will chair the first bilateral U.S.-India Space Security Dialogue.
- March 4-7: Laotian Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong will visit Japan to meet with Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and attend events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Japanese-Laotian diplomatic relations.
SOUTH ASIA
- March 2: Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera will attend the High-Level Segment of the 28th United Nations Human Rights Council session in Geneva.
- March 2: The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will sponsor the India Smart Grid Workshop in Bangalore. The workshop brings together U.S. and Indian power sector stakeholders to develop future power projects in India.
- March 2: Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar will visit Bangladesh.
- March 2: India will hold E-auctions for schedule III coal blocks.
- March 3: Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar will visit Pakistan.
- March 3-4: The 3rd India-Africa Strategic Dialogue will take place at the Institute of Defense Studies and Analysis in New Delhi.
- March 4: Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar will visit Afghanistan.
- March 4: India will hold auctions for its telecom spectrum.
MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA
- Feb. 28-March 2: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
- March 3: The first meeting of the Qatar-Cyprus joint committee for economic and technical cooperation will be held in Doha.
- March 3: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address a joint session of the U.S. Congress.
- March 3: Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimukhammedov will visit Turkey.
- March 4: Bahrain will hear democracy campaigner Nabeel Rajab's appeal against his conviction for publicly insulting two state institutions.
- March 7-10: The Egyptian Port Said Criminal Court will hold another round of trial sessions for a case concerning a soccer riot that killed at least 72 people.
AMERICAS
- March 2: Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez will host his Cuban counterpart for meetings in Montevideo.
- March 2: Colombia's state-owned oil company Ecopetrol will release its 2014 financial results.
- March 2: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will meet with his Uruguayan counterpart, Tabare Vazquez.
- March 2: The labor commission of Chile's lower house of parliament will consult leaders of different private sectors about its labor reform draft.
- March 2-3: Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos will travel to Spain.
- March 3: U.S. Federal Judge Thomas Griesa will hold a new hearing on Argentine payments through Citibank to bondholders.
- March 3: Argentine state-owned oil company YPF will close bids to sell light crude oil.
- March 3: Brazilian Attorney General Rodrigo Janot will request that the Supreme Federal Court launch an investigation into politicians involved in the Petrobras corruption scandal.
- March 7-8: The Harvard Kennedy School along with the business school will host the Annual India Conference at Harvard in Boston.
AFRICA
- March 1-5: Regional legislators are scheduled to begin a tour of the East African Community member states to collect stakeholders' views and submissions on the envisaged East African Community Electronic Transactions Bill.
- March 2: A joint mission of African Union, European Union and United Nations delegates will travel to Guinea Bissau to assess the country's proposed security reforms.
- March 3: Burkina Faso's election commission will begin registering voters for its October elections.
- March 6: Ghana will celebrate the 58th anniversary of its independence.
