After two and a half years of war, Israel appears to now be moving to attempt to severely, if not completely, eradicate the threat stemming from Iran's most important ally, Hezbollah in Lebanon. The current round of Hezbollah-Israel conflict did not emerge in isolation but as part of the broader regional escalation that followed the outbreak of war between the United States, Israel and Iran on Feb. 28.
