Summary
Russian President Vladimir Putin said June 18 that Russia provided the Bush administration with intelligence indicating that Iraq was actively planning attacks against the United States and its interests abroad. STRATFOR sources in Russian intelligence services have roundly rejected that assertion. Putin appears to be engaged in a double game for the ear of U.S. President George W. Bush.
