Iran accused the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen on Jan. 7 of deliberately carrying out an airstrike on the Iranian Embassy in Sanaa a day earlier, just days after Iranian protesters stormed the Saudi embassy in Tehran in response to the Saudi execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr. Tit-for-tat attacks on diplomatic missions are a highly visible and serious component to the broader confrontation between Iran and Saudi-led Sunni powers in the region. Even so, the accusations do not mean a direct military conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran is on the horizon....
