Iraq: The Implications of the Strike on al Qaeda

The top two al Qaeda operatives in Iraq, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayub al-Masri, were killed April 18 in Salahuddin province, according to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Their deaths would have implications for the security situation in Iraq.
