Iraq, Iran: Prelude to a Pipeline

Iraq's South Oil Co. said Nov. 12 that it is working on a pipeline between the Basra region, in southern Iraq, and the Iranian port of Abadan. Such a pipeline would be easy to build and would be an economic boon to both countries, but a U.S.-Iranian deal on Iraq is needed first....
