Iraq: The Raid on the MeK

Summary

Fighting continued July 29 in Iraq's eastern Diyala province at Camp Ashraf, the home of 3,360 members of the Iranian exile group Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MeK). Reportedly, six people have been killed and hundreds of others have been injured, although these claims have not been confirmed.

The raid on Camp Ashraf is unlikely to have been a completely spontaneous event....
