Iraq: The Strategically Vital 'Triangle of Death'

The battle for control over towns that sit on strategic roads just south of Baghdad is entering a new phase with the arrival of troops from the United Kingdom. Determined to cut coalition communication and supply lines, Sunni guerrillas have assassinated pro-U.S. local leaders and pushed Shia from the area in an effort to improve their chances in the looming showdown with U.K. forces.
