Summary
Israel's Winograd Committee released its final report Jan. 30 on the performance of the Israeli government and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the summer 2006 conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Despite speculation that the report would bring about Israeli Prime Minster Ehud Olmert's downfall, it looks as if Olmert's government is safe for the time being.
