Italy: A Return to Nuclear Power

Following a call by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for more nuclear power, Italian Industry Minister Claudio Scajola said May 22 that Italy will build a nuclear power reactor in the next five years. A change in European attitudes and higher energy prices make a return to nuclear power very attractive for the country.
