Japan: The Finance Minister's Resignation

Summary

Japanese Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa has resigned from his post following an embarrassing appearance at the G-7 summit, in which he seemed to be intoxicated. The incident adds opprobrium to the already deeply unpopular Japanese administration during an election year.
